Check out the recommendations on the discover new music screen for instant recommendations.

Click the filters icon to open the window that allows you to set filters to get recommendations by genre, decade, or general popularity. You can even get recommendations from within your own library.

Use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to select other great MyStrands features.

Tag your music

Tag your music

Listening to a song that takes you back the summer evening of your first kiss? Or a tune that will make everybody dance? Tag tracks with a mood, activity, or a moment.

Click the tag field on the main MyStrands window, and then enter any tag. Click “Save” to send the tag to MyStrands. Your tag will show up in your personal tag cloud, and will become part of the MyStrands community tags.

Discover who’s listening to the same music as you, what musical affinity you share, and what other great tunes they’re listening to. Add people to your Favorites, to see what else they listen to.

Get a playlist on the fly with Tag Cloud. Choose a tag, and create a playlist of songs with that tag. Use your own tags, or those from the MyStrands community. Either way, it’s a fast and easy way to get a playlist.

Use Playlist Builder to get a new set of tracks, all in your library, that match—with a little added spice—the mood and feel you’re looking for Enter a “Seed” to instantly build a playlist, or for more control, create filters for decade, genre, or artist to make sure that you get the perfect set of tunes.

You can even see recommendations for tracks that are not in your library that might be compatible with the playlist you’ve created.

iPod Sync

Add your iPod plays to your MyStrands musical profile, so they can influence recommendations, help you discover new friends, and let you get a more accurate picture of what you listen to.
